How to Apply
We are not a member of the Pupillage Gateway System.
All applications for a 12 month pupillage must be on our standard application form. The form can be downloaded from the website prior to the deadline (or obtained from Ms Shelley Taylor in chambers) and may be submitted either by email to (firstname.lastname@example.org) or in hard copy marked for the attention of Ms Taylor, but in any case to be received in chambers no later than 4pm on Friday, 13 January for pupillage commencing in October 2018. Applications will not be accepted by fax.
Candidates will be short-listed on the basis of their application forms assessed on the basis of our selection criteria (see Who is Suitable). We aim to let candidates know by email by Wednesday, 25th January 2017 if they have been shortlisted for interview.
We will ask candidates who are shortlisted for interview to provide two references, at least one of which must be from an academic lawyer, unless it is impracticable to obtain such a reference. A copy of our standard form letter to referees is attached to the application form, which we ask candidates to deliver to their chosen referees. References should be provided to us as soon as possible, and in any event by 4pm on Thursday, 2nd February 2017.
Short-listed candidates will be invited to Chambers for a first round interview to be held on Monday, 6th and Tuesday, 7th February 2017. Some candidates will be invited for second round interviews on Friday, 10th February 2017, and offers to successful candidates will be made shortly thereafter.
